TV provides us fun and a variety of information. However, TV does not allow us to do other things while we are watching it. In terms of the latter, I think it is better that we don’t have any TV. And then we can make an opportunity to meet friends and relatives. We can more often read some books or newspapers instead of watching TV. And then it will be possible that we live intelligently.
There are a variety of TV programs like news, dramas, movies, sports, education, and so on. Anyone can watch easily and cheaply the programs due to advertisements. If you use it well, it will be a great tool to get information. However, once people start watching the TV, it is difficult to get out of it like drugs. So, people may tend to be fool easily because they accept all the contents of TV without criticism.
If we did not have any TV’s, we would find other things. For example, we will read some books, newspapers, or magazines, or visit friends or make conversation with their family. These changes will give us an active attitude to be able to express our opinions instead of dependence on the TV. And then our lives will be more creative and develop into a good direction.
In conclusion, in order to do self-actualization through intellectual life, it will be a great help that we live without the TV. And also it will provide us a lot of opportunities to read more books and to talk about more things for our spiritual growth.
