Start Ubuntu

To use the terminal window

• type Ctrl + Alt + T

To make root:

• sudo passwd root
• type current pass --> 1234
• type root pass --> 5678
• type root pass again --> 5678
• successfully
• To log out --> Ctrl+D

To setup the "synaptic package manager"

• by Code: apt-get install synaptic

To setup samba

• apt-get install samba samba-common system-config-samba
• apt-get install samba
• Then go to Software Center and Search "glade" & "python-glade" and install both of them
• Alt+F2 and type gksu system-config-samba
• Click on the + button,  to add a folder which you want to share.
• Now go to the shared folder, Select the folder then right click on the folder and select Sharing Option. Here add a comment and change the permissions for others to create/delete/modification in files/folders and for the guest access rules.
